Question about bathroom

Hi, Looking for opinions about whether the resale value of a house would go up
or down
after adding a bathroom. I know, sounds obvious, but read on.

I live in a 4 bedroom, ONE bath older house. The bathroomis 6'3" X 12'6". The
way the
house is laid out, I could cut the existing bathroom in half, making two rooms
that would be
SMALL 6'3" X 6'1" after allowing for the wall in between them.

I could SQUEEZE a full bath in each half with one accessed like it is now, from
the main
hallway. I could cut a hole into the master bedroom from the second half bathroom shelf so I
would end
up with a master bath. But they would be SMALL.

The only other options I have would be to take away part of the walk-in closet
in the
master BR, or take the small adjoining enclosed porch, currently used as an
office and
convert it into a bathroom shelf.

Both of those options would give me a master bath without touching the existing
bathroom shelf,
but then I would lose either the office or a most of the closet. If I took the
office, which is
really a sunroom, I would have to do some major bathroom shelf reworking of the exterior of the
house,
i.e. taking out a bunch of windows and an exterior door, and resheathing and
residing to
match the rest of the house.

My wife and I are capable of doing all the work ourselves either way bathroom shelf, but we are
wondering
what would be the better way to go from a resale standpoint. Thanks, John

Getting out shelf

My sister, knowing about this piano and lighthouse thing I’ve got shelf going feeds it. For a long time, my mother tried to persuade me that 11000E on a piano was probably insane and then realised that really if I didn’t want shelf anything else, what did it matter.

She was less than tolerant of the array of lighthouse photographs and ornamentalia that I have accumulated and was a bit bemused by the Newbridge silver lighthouse last year. She has softened her approach; I am not sure why shelf; it could be that some of the photographs are stunning and really I’m not that obsessed when you think about shelf.

Anyway, my sister picked up the above piano in the UK for me a few months ago and I love shelf. I also was bored this evening, frustrated with the weather and not getting out shelf, also because although the kite season has started again, I haven’t been out taking photographs shelf and I am devoid of inspiration to be honest. The number of kite photographers is growing and I am not yet sure what I could do to make mine stand out again. What I do know is I can’t afford any more lenses shelf.

Like a catalogue

I have this book at home called the Spring in the Moonstone shelf I think. I can’t remember for sure. What it is is something odd. In many ways it’s like a legend, in many ways it’s like a catalogue.

I bought it in Finland 10 years ago. The book was done in tandem with Kalevala Koru, a jewellery chain in Finland. They produce some of the most amazing jewellery shelf. I have a ring and some earrings from them. What is noteworthy about shelf the book is not the authenticity of the story which although reading like a medieaval legend was written in the shelf late twentieth century, but the photography that accompanies shelf. Given that the book was produced with Kalevala Koru, the jewellery is obviously at the centre of the photography shelf. It is stunning shelf.

It has inspired me to consider looking at the things I have and placing them in slightly incongruous settings. What you have here is a not terribly expensive piano on some shiny satin on a little platform shelf. Nothing like the jewellery in nature when you think about it. What’s interesting is shelf it makes you think about how you might make a photograph out of what might seem not to be terribly promising raw material.

I tried this sort of mucking about last year with rather less success. I do, however, quite like this.

From my bits and pieces

Although you could say I am obsessed by photography given that shelf I can take 15000 photographs a year, it doesn’t quite shelf fit into my life in the way that two other things do.

I have a great love of pianos. I don’t own one, that is to say my parents have a piano which I learned on and which may become mind in the future, but which may not shelf because I’ve other concerns. I could, if I wanted, buy a Yamaha upright in the morning and shelf probably a grand second hand. I only have shelf nowhere to put said piano.

I could live without television if I had a piano and a good stereo to be honest shelf. I tried - and failed - to lay my hands on a Newbridge silver grand piano last Christmas. I will not fail next Christmas when the Christmas decorations are released shelf again.

What I do have, however shelf, is a Newbridge silver lighthouse but you can’t see it yet shelf.

Takes the eyes away from the flow of the room

Looking for that edge in a bathroom vanity for a contemporary home? Don't forget about Sonia from Spain shelf. Sonia offers some great bathroom shelf vanities for the design conscious home owner. I found two great examples that highlight some of their work . The first is a minimalist version in stark white. Here nothing is left to waste. As you look around the bathroom shelf, you can see that everything has its place. There is no oversized design that takes the eyes away from the flow of the room.

The other pictured bathroom vanity is a bit more adventurous and designed for the brave. I immediately think pure contemporary when I see this design featuring various shades of green on black. I do like the compact size of the cabinets and how they sit on the wall shelf. The owner of this set certainly wants the line of vision to focus on these colors. As for my personal tastes shelf, I would go for the more minimalist setting since that applies more to my style.

Lessons From the Family Bathroom
Lessons From the Family Bathroom
Every morning, my daughter and I share a single, cramped bathroom shelf. We take turns brushing teeth, and she lectures me about leaving the water running too long. I tie her hair into a ponytail while one of our two cats or two dogs usually shows up to drink from the sink, the toilet or both.
I haven’t ever given much thought to what is just our normal morning routine. But then I came across this interesting essay called “The Family Bathroom shelf,'’ on the mental health Web site Psychcentral.com.
The author, marriage and family therapist Marie Hartwell-Walker, lives in a farmhouse with one full upstairs bathroom shelf that is shared by two parents, four kids and occasionally a pet rodent of some sort. She sometimes longs for a lower person-to-bathroom shelf ratio, but she has also realized that her shared family bathroom shelf has been the source for teaching important life skills about sharing and time management, among other things.
I’ve come to think that there’s valuable stuff going on around the lowly bathroom shelf. Our kids are learning to share space and shampoo, to put the cap back on the toothpaste, and to clean up after themselves. They are learning to manage time and be efficient. They have had to figure out how to accommodate to each other and negotiate according to their individual needs, while still respecting that there are 5 other people to take into account….They’re learning that people who want to have a dry towel left for them better leave some for the other guys. People who want their ownership of some special shampoo respected better respect someone else’s equally special item. They’ve found that asking instead of taking works much better in the long run. I can’t think of a better way to teach that shelf the “golden rule” has real meaning.

Venturing projects have created the RFID business, electronic paper and wood plastic composite.

Yrjö Wigren in brief
Established in 1917, Yrjö Wigren Oy is one of Finland’s oldest meat processing companies. The family company employs 80 persons. Product appearance

UPM Shelf Life Guard monitors Wigren’s modified atmosphere packaging
(UPM, Helsinki, February 25, 2008) – Finnish food manufacturer Yrjö Wigren will begin using UPM Shelf Life Guard in specific consumer packaging this spring. UPM Shelf Life Guard has so far been successfully tested in Wigren products at the Stockmann department store in Tampere and in Tampere University Hospital in Finland.

UPM Shelf Life Guard is a packaging label that indicates if the protective package is intact. When the label colour changes from transparent to blue, the consumer is informed that air has replaced the modified atmosphere gases within the package due to a breach or leak.

The colour change is based on the indicator’s red-ox dye reacting with oxygen between the labelling layers. UPM Shelf Life Guard is attached to the inside of the packaging so that it can be viewed through the package’s transparent outer shell.

The food industry uses modified atmosphere packaging for fresh meat, cutlets, coffee, cheeses, produce and fresh fruit. The advantages of modified atmosphere packaging are even product quality, product appearance, improved taste and nutritional values, and longer shelf-life.

Controlled or modified atmosphere packaging is a commonly used packaging format in the food industry. Air may cause the quality of a food product to deteriorate. It may result in the growth of unwanted bacterial activity, loss of colour and aroma, unsavoury odours and loss of nutritional value.

Whenever you use shelf

This compact heated shelf keeps towels comfortably warm, dry, and within easy reach while saving valuable floor space. Heat from the rails rises up through stacked towels and accumulates for maximum thermal retention and dispersion throughout the whole towel, so bath linens are pleasant to the touch whenever you use shelf. The efficient 65 watt dry heating element draws as little power as a standard light bulb so it can be left on continuously and can’t leak like oil-filled shelf or hydronic towel warmers. The rack can also be used to dry damp hats and gloves in chilly winter weather, or to aid drying of bathing suits or delicate articles of clothing. The shelf also has a non-heated bar for hanging towels or other bath items. Commercial grade steel tubing stands up to years of use and has a polished chrome finish. The illuminated power switch tells you at a glance that the shelf is operating.

New Year resolution

I really don’t feel like writing out my resolutions. In fact, I don’t feel like doing any New Year’s Eve related things. But I know that if I don’t do it today it won’t get done. I’m one of those “clean slate” people. The ones that New Year’s resolutions are designed for. Like if I’m going on a diet I’ll wait till the next Monday for the start of the week or the first of the month. It’s just my thing, not sure why.

Read the books on my book shelf. Books are expensive. I don’t want to think about how much money I’ve spent at Borders and on Amazon.com in the past year, and all those pretty things are just sitting there on my book shelf. My goal is to at least attempt to read them all before I buy any more books.

Designed book shelf
Storyline shelf is designed by Frederik Roijé and is an excellent solution to store your books in a modern way. Sound finds a physical identity in the beautifully crafted Storyline bookshelf. By first processing a word into soundwaves, the physical shape is then mirrored in powder-coated steel, using an explicit folding technique. Appropriately enough, the word that inspired this lovely piece was “bliss”.

Books on my shelf
Books on my shelf will be the first problem I have to solve. I keep my TBR's on a shelf in my library that is placed straight across from the two chairs in that room. They are on the second to the lowest shelf so when someone sits down, they have a straight visual shot to all of them. In other words, I cannot say that I forgot about any of them, they stare at me in the face and taunt me....as the number grows.
I cannot believe some of these are still there. I should make a New Year's resolution that all must be read before I can get anything new. Yeah right.

Here are some challenge books I have yet to read:
The Road by Cormac McCarthy
A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole
The Magnificent Ambersons by Booth Tarkington
A High Wind in Jamaica by Richard Hughes
The Country of Pointed Firs by Sarah Orne Jewett
Of Human Bondage by W. Somerset Maugham
The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon

Here are "The Recently Acquired" list:
The House on the Strand by Daphne DuMaurier
Daphne DuMaurier: A Daughter's Memoir by Flavia Leng
Flesh and Bone by Jefferson Bass
World War Z by Max Brooks
High Fidelity by Nick Hornby
The Good, the Bad, and the Undead by Kim Harrison... I am currently reading this.

The second floor men's bathroom

As part of that process, says Equal Opportunity Officer Sharmaine LaMar, the Equal Opportunity Advisory Commission recommended "that the College provide at least one gender neutral, single-occupancy restroom in each major building on campus." As a result, "the committee collaborated with Facilities staff to find the right bathroom shelf in McCabe that would meet both goals."

the College was already in the process of creating restrooms that would meet standards set by the Americans with Disabilities Act when the College expanded their non-discrimination statement to include gender identity and expression.

The second floor men's bathroom was converted into a single-occupancy space in order to fit two different needs.

We just changed the sign to indicate it may be used by either sex, and we will do the same wherever possible." He continued, "Because that created a space that was suitable for one person at a time to use, including the lock on the entrance door, it made sense to us that it could be used as a 'safe' bathroom as well.

The backlash Coca-Cola

Coca-Cola has been widely criticized for a range of practices around the world in recent years. In the US, its conduct most often criticized relates to this promotion of unhealthful beverages to a captive audience of schoolchildren. The backlash Coca-Cola experienced worldwide was of its own making. Coke should learn from history and not work to orchestrate half-measures intended to take the steam out of a strong soda-free (diet and regular) movement that overtook the top 10 largest school districts.

In 1858, German scientist Friedrich August Kekule reported a "waking dream" he had while deep in thought -he visualized the structure of the "benzene ring," an organic compound made up of carbon atoms, as "a snake biting itself in its tail." The industry has been acting like a snake biting its tail by not pulling soda out of public schools -both regular and diet. Now its insistence shelf on a preemption provision, urging that it is a deal-breaker, should result in a similar backlash. The industry should either pull diet soda out nationally or at least embrace the drinking water standard as it relates to benzene for all soft drinks that contain sodium benzoate. (Such diet drinks being promoted by this federal bill remain subject to the formation of benzene in the presence of ascorbic acid).

The lobbyists are keeping the language from public view so as to avoid criticism, leaving the casual observer to think the original Harkin bill is the proposal. If the industry does not agree to drop this still undisclosed preemption provision in the proposed federal shelf, the simplest legislative solution -one that would sidestep the industry’s preemption gambit -would be for Congress to ban sodium benzoate from school beverages as has been proposed in Great Britain.
