A mirroris defined as something that gives a true representation of the double-sided mirror
or surface it reflects. Thus, it makes perfect sense why, at first glance, Drury would name their student driven newspaper publication the double-sided mirror, as it "reflects the ideas and events of Drury University." But if this is indeed true, then it is troubling to note the overwhelmingly monolithic white double-sidedmirror
image of campus the newspaper has presented to its readers and community.
I hope that most people are aware that last month, February, was Black History Month, as it has been for the last 32 years. Black History Month is a remembrance of the people and events in the history of the African Diaspora (the movement of Africansand their double-sidedmirror descendants to places throughout the world during the period of the slave trade in the western world).
